LINTAS ATJEH | BANDA ACEH - Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala (FK USK) yang tergabung dalam organisasi CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities) melalui Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) menyelenggarakan kegiatan MICROSCOPE (Medical Insight and Collaboration in UHC for Students’ Competence and Professional Expertise), Minggu, 4 Mei 2025, di Balai Kota Banda Aceh.
Mengusung tema Universal Health Coverage (UHC), kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa dan tenaga kesehatan terhadap sistem pembiayaan kesehatan yang merata, adil, dan inklusif.
Acara diawali dengan Grand Lecture oleh Kepala Bagian Kepesertaan BPJS Kesehatan Banda Aceh, Teuku Muhammad Afandy, SKM, MM, yang membahas cakupan dan tantangan implementasi UHC di Indonesia. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi panel bersama Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kota Banda Aceh, Lukman, SKM, M.Kes, dan Wakil Direktur RSUD Zainoel Abidin, dr. Arifatul Khorida, MPH.
MICROSCOPE juga menghadirkan narasumber internasional dari Malaysia, Muhammad Zulkarnain Bin Abd Rohim, perwakilan Kementerian Kesehatan Malaysia dan Liaison Officer SMMAMS, yang mengisi sesi talkshow mengenai perspektif regional terhadap sistem kesehatan universal.
Sebagai penutup, peserta mengikuti sesi reflektif Whisper of Tomorrow yang mengajak generasi muda untuk menyuarakan harapan dan komitmen dalam mewujudkan layanan kesehatan yang merata dan berkeadilan di masa depan.
Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa diharapkan tidak hanya memperoleh wawasan komprehensif tentang UHC dari sudut pandang lokal hingga global, tetapi juga terinspirasi untuk berkontribusi aktif dalam transformasi sistem kesehatan di Indonesia.

Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities (CIMSA) is a nationalist, independent, non-political, inclusive, and non-partisan organization that facilitates Indonesian medical students who have the
will to make a significant impact on national health through data and community-based activities.
CIMSA invites Indonesian medical students to actively engage in health promotion and prevention as a way to improve public health. CIMSA serves as a forum for medical students to develop their capacity in the health sector as future health professionals.
In alignment with these values, CIMSA FK USK implemented MICROSCOPE (Medical Insight and Collaboration in UHC for Students' Competence and Professional Expertise), a one-day event focused on building understanding and collaboration in Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
MICROSCOPE aimed to raise awareness about the importance of equitable healthcare access and to empower medical students with knowledge and practical insights on UHC.
MICROSCOPE Held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Banda Aceh City Hall, this event brought together stakeholders from BPJS Banda Aceh, Banda Aceh Health Office, and RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin as speakers with Health Students & Health Workers from various clusters in Banda Aceh as participants. This activity carries the theme “Building Bridges
to Better Healthcare Access".
MICROSCOPE was divided into four main sessions. The first session was a grand lecture delivered by the Head of BPJS Banda Aceh Participation Section with a focus on a deeper understanding of UHC, followed by a question and answer session.
The second session, “Inspiration Talk,” featured a panel discussion between health leaders from various professional backgrounds who discussed UHC from various perspectives, namely the Head of the Banda Aceh Health Is Artikel Office, the Head of the BPJS Banda Aceh Participation Section Office, the Head of the BPJS Banda Aceh Participation Section & the Deputy Director of PSDM at RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin, moderated by aCIMSA alumnus who recognized as Mahasiswa Berprestasi of Universitas Syiah Kuala 2021.
The third session presented an international perspective through an interactive dialog with IFMSA NMO from SMMAMS Malaysia which was held in a hybrid manner & guided directly by the Local Exchange Officer for Incoming & Local Exchange Officer for Outgoing CIMSA FK USK.
The event was closed with a Whispers of Tomorrow session where participants wrote their hopes on snow-shaped paper & attached it to a hope tree to reflect and summarize the insights gained & want to be realized together in the future.
